Extending the Residence permit in Turkey (3)
One year later and I'm back to extend the Residence Permit.
Things are a bit diferent, for the better.
They added a ticket number system. So the first thing you need to do is get a ticket from the machine.
I picked up number 301 around 10:30AM, which is called around 15:00. Fortunately I found someone giving up their number 256, so I could get my turn around 14:30.
In the morning they were calling 4 numbers per every 10 mins, after lunch it was faster (probably because many people quit their numbers) with 10 numbers per 10 mins.
I had all papers correct, thanks to my notes from the previous time.
They want 2 pictures from the foreigner and 1 picture from the turkish spouse.
I payed around 610TL for 1 year extension.
They give the permit back 24h after the papers are turned in.

Another note, since you have the numbers now you don't need to stay in the police station to mark a place. no need to eat the $+!;/ food of the polis canteen, my advice is to get out and go down the main street to Vefa Lokantası (close to the roundabout, across Migros) where you can get a nice meal for good price.
